ABOUT

Federal BD intelligence
built for people who've been
burned by generic advice.

GovBiz.ai was built by people who've sat in gate reviews and watched capture managers defend recommendations that had no data behind them. We set out to fix that — one citable signal at a time.

The Problem We Solve

Government contractors spend billions of dollars pursuing opportunities with no systematic way to separate the real from the wishful. Incumbent vulnerability is estimated by feel. Price-to-win is guessed. Recompete timing is tracked in spreadsheets that nobody updates.

Every piece of information needed to make those decisions better is already public. FPDS has 52.9M+ contract records. SAM.gov publishes every registered entity. GSA CALC+ has 50,000+ labor rate benchmarks. The data isn't missing — the synthesis is.

The Daily Pain

If you're a small contractor, your morning probably starts with SAM.gov. Scrolling through hundreds of opportunities, trying to remember which NAICS codes matter, checking deadlines you've already missed, and wondering if that Sources Sought from last week is still open. By the time you find something relevant, you've lost an hour you could have spent pursuing.

GovBiz.ai replaces that routine with a daily digest matched to your profile — delivered before you open a browser.

How We're Different

Every recommendation GovBiz.ai produces traces to a specific, citable data point. We don't generate narrative where data is absent — we say "insufficient data" and move on. This isn't just an architectural choice; it's the product's primary value proposition.

Experienced capture managers recognize generic BD advice immediately. Our target user is the person who would dismiss us if we gave it to them.

What We Don't Claim

CPARS performance ratings are not publicly accessible. We don't incorporate them and we say so explicitly on every tier. We use proxy signals — modification frequency, bridge extensions, option year patterns — that are documented, auditable, and verifiable.

Platforms that imply CPARS access are misleading their users. We consider transparency about methodology to be a competitive advantage, not a liability.

Data Sources

All intelligence is derived from public federal procurement data: SAM.gov entity and opportunity feeds, FPDS award and modification records back to 2018, USASpending agency obligation data, GSA CALC+ labor rate benchmarks, and Bureau of Labor Statistics wage validation. No proprietary data. Everything is verifiable.

Who Built This

Built by Terrance Addison, a 30-year software engineer who got tired of watching BD teams make decisions without data. GovBiz.ai exists because every piece of information needed to make better federal BD decisions is already public — it just wasn't synthesized.
